Una grew up in a remote valley with on Biripi Country with (artist-parents) and drawing for company. She studied painting in Darwin in the 1990s and began working in the contemporary art sector during the rise and rise of Indigenous art. Working as an art manager alongside painters at Ikuntji/Haasts Bluff, Jilamara Arts on the Tiwi Islands and Balgo in the Tanami was informative—but paint remained its own informant. Her studio practice ebbs and flows. Exhibitions come and go. The archive is more or less accurate.
